Illuminate Showroom
Illuminate was looking for a centralized location to showcase products, host events, and provide employees with a collaborative workplace environment. This historic 6-story building, formerly home to The Boston Society of Architects, emanates natural character and quirky architectural elements that we wanted to preserve and celebrate with our design.
LETTING THE LIGHTS TAKE THE MAIN STAGE
Working with Ritz Inc, and New York based custom millworker Fabricate, Studio Troika designed a rotating and adaptable table that works with the existing geometry of the building. The table is a center piece of the first floor and can be expanded or retracted depending on the functional needs of the space.
Programmatic components include flexible meeting rooms, a recreation space, employee touchdown zones, event-hosting floors and ample opportunity for occupants to experience a rotating sequence of light fixtures in a variety of settings.
