Salon Mario Russo
Salon Mario Russo brings the same exceptional service from their previous location into a new, luxurious and modern salon on Park Plaza in Boston, MA. This 1,700 square foot, ground floor space provides a new level of accessibility for their staff and clientele as well as an opportunity for a street-level brand presence. Studio Troika worked directly with the owner, as well as a few senior stylists and salon personnel, to understand the specific spatial requirements and extensive storage needs in an effort to curate a seamless, service-focused client experience.
LUXURIOUS & MODERN
The design is predicated on a desire to transform the box-like retail shell into a soft and warm space which is largely achieved through gently-curved walls and ceiling planes. These sweeping gestures of the main spaces within the salon also guide users through the space in a natural and comfortable sequence from the welcome lounge, into the hair washing area, and through the open salon to their stylist’s chair.
Studio Troika was able to utilize the voids created by the undulation of the major wall in the salon to nestle in essential storage elements for each stylist station. The result of these efforts is an elegant, architectural canvas on which the talent at Salon Mario Russo can do their art.
