When TANK found out they had to leave their long-standing east coast home in the heart of Cambridge, MA, the brand and experience design firm approached Studio Troika to execute a new home that would allow them to showcase their collection of signs, including a life-size mockup of Boston’s iconic Citgo sign.
A former racquetball court proved to be the perfect fit for TANK’s needs. Incorporating TANK’s unique and quirky aesthetic, the double-height space at the Somernova’s campus space was transformed into an open, collaborative meeting area, ideal for entertaining and serving as a backdrop for their signage collection. The opposite end of the space now functions as their concentrated, heads-down work space. The entire design is brightened and connected with a welcoming reception and open communal kitchen area.
